Drawing Out Batik In Transition To Natural Coloring Arena

Although not yet able to leave chemical coloring, the city of Batang which is located not far from Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia, still offers various types of traditional batik motifs. Among them are the Tiga Negri Motif which has a fairly complex coloring technique.

The Tiga Negri Motif has a quite interesting philosophy, with the following three main colors, namely Red, Blue and Brown representing the unity of the three cultures and being processed in three different cities to unite the inter-city ecosystems with the best colors in their respective places.

My last experience with batik artisans, I feel proud of the mothers who can help the family economy as well while teaching this classical culture to their children. So that from childhood, children can begin to learn to explore themselves with Batik motifs. The batik makers have begun to open themselves up to learn natural coloring techniques, although they are a little difficult to apply but their enthusiasm is not extinguished to keep trying.
