No solo la ropa, sino también nuestras vidas

En el día mundial de remendar en público, convocamos a todas las personas que se sienten movilizadas por la moda y el cambio social, a reparar nuestra ropa, mientras nos tejemos hacia otras formas de habitar la vida.

Este día busca hacer público lo invisible, desde la premisa de promover el acto de remendar, buscamos hacer público el oficio, darle voz a nuestras dudas y atender al reclamo de una industria de la moda más justa con las personas y el planeta.

Algunas de nuestras actividades:
- Taller: costuras básicas a mano, Jenny Hernández de @partikulares
- Taller: telar hecho a mano, por Mima Cortez, artista textil y coordinadora de #fashionrevolutionvenezuela
- Tejido colectivo por @sangredemisangre_vzla
- Intercambio de ropa y libros, guiado por Skailer Blanco, de @lahoradel_trueque

Algunos materiales que puedes traer para este día:
- agujas (de tejer y coser)
- retazos de tela o ropa para reparar
- botones, hilos y cualquier otro material
- hilos (de coser y tejer)

Not just clothes, but also our lives

On World Mending in Public Day, we call on all those who feel moved by fashion and social change to repair our clothes, while we weave ourselves toward other ways of living life.

This day seeks to make the invisible public. From the premise of promoting the act of mending, we seek to make the craft public, give voice to our concerns, and address the call for a fashion industry that is more just to people and the planet.

Some of our activities:
- Workshop: Basic Hand Stitching, by Jenny Hernández of @partikulares
- Workshop: Handmade Loom, by Mima Cortez, textile artist and coordinator of #fashionrevolutionvenezuela
- Collective Knitting by @sangredemisangre_vzla
- Clothing and Book Swap, led by Skailer Blanco, from @lahoradel_trueque

Some materials you can bring for this day:
- Needles (knitting and sewing)
- Scraps of fabric or clothing for repairs
- Buttons, threads, and any other materials
- Threads (sewing and knitting)
