Giselly Horta
Giselly Horta has a degree in Fashion (UVA), a master's degree in Anthropology (UFF), and is currently a PhD candidate in Communication (UFF). She has more than 10 years' experience working in fashion, where she has worked in a wide variety of fields, as a stylist, pattern maker and fashion producer, as well as facilitating brand positioning consultancies. She has worked on social projects and has experience in digital marketing and branding, where she has worked in various sectors in fashion and sport. She facilitates workshops and lectures on topics such as sustainability, fashion and consumption.

Understanding how marginalized communities are often burdened with pollution, waste disposal and vulnerability to disasters, reflecting on how post-consumer practices can be transformed to promote justice and sustainability, rather than reinforcing inequalities, with education and communication as tools to empower voices that have been invisibilized by racism to deconstruct unjust narratives and promote a change in mentality.
