Built in 1895, Dalnavert Museum is a small Victorian mansion nestled in the heart of Winnipeg’s downtown on Treaty One territory and in the heart of the national homeland of the Red River Métis. This unique museum features a “day in the life” feel as it transports you back in time to the 19th century the second you step inside.

Get a new style and new skills! Celebrate Mend in Public Day by learning to repair your clothes and rejecting fast fashion and textile waste with a clothing swap. After the morning’s facilitated workshop, we will host a pay-what-you-can mending circle for folks to gather and mend in community, featuring a short presentation from Vanessa Warne on the history of fabric repairs and repurposing. Whether you come for the whole day or just drop in for an hour, you’ll be sure to polish up your mending skills and do some good for the planet.
