FASHIONCLASH invites you to join creative workshops and work on upcycled outfits & textile objects for the ‘Ommegangen’ (Procession) of Heiligdomsvaart 2025 (Pilgrimage of the Relics) in Maastricht. The workshops take place in the FASHIONCLASH Pop-up Atelier, an interactive workspace located on the third floor of Centre Céramique in Maastricht.
During Fashion Revolution Week, you can join a workshop in upcycling outfits (Tuesday 22 April) and creating flags & banners from discarded textiles (Sunday 27 April). All textiles are collected via Rd4 Textielsorteercentrum in Heerlen. The workshops are primarily designed for children, teenagers and young adults (8-24 years), but anyone outside this age range who is enthusiastic is welcome! Two workshop hosts will be there to guide you and teach you various upcycle techniques such as the boro technique, shashiko embroidery, appliqué, and patchwork.
More Information: FASHIONCLASH is a development and presentation platform for fashion (culture) that, through crossovers, contributes to, on the one hand, the individual talent development of the new generation of fashion makers and, on the other hand, to general awareness of the role of fashion in the world. FASHIONCLASH believes in the positive contribution that the art of fashion can make to people, culture, planet, environment and economy. With its own (multimedia) language, fashion can help people to establish relationships with themselves, each other, the environment, a world view, and the future.
