Circular fashion, the elusive system we're all working to implement in some way, shape or form.
I have an idea. To create a physical representation of a circular fashion supply chain. An installation of sorts but I need your help.
Join me on Wednesday 17th April from 5:30pm on Level 5, 196 Flinders street for a crafternoon/evening. All hands welcome and encouraged to take part.
We have creative freedom on a large part of the wall to pin items/samples/swatches/visuals as they relate to each stage of a circular fashion supply chain. It will most likely be messy and a bit uncomfortable as we work out what goes where. However, this living project is a critical talking point for future circular talks and presentations.
The stages being used as a guide include:
Raw material extraction, textile production, design & development, garment manufacturing, retail operations & services, consumer use (repair, resale), recycling and end of life.
What to bring:
-A willingness to collaborate
-Unwanteed samples or swatches related to the stages mentioned above
-Your own product/service that fits in the circular fashion supply chain (it can be a printed flyer with QR code, sample product
I hope this sparks interest and I can’t wait to welcome you for a creative hack-a-project in April.
