Local ethical fashion hub, Just Atelier, is running a creative community pop-up space in central Dunedin, New Zealand, from 1 – 30 April, 2017, to build relationships and celebrate local creativity, in collaboration with the Urban Dream Brokerage project.
The pop-up project, ‘UNSTITCHED: Local Fashion Revolution’, will be one of New Zealand’s largest community events as part of the international movement, Fashion Revolution. The campaign aims to bring people together from around the world to use the power of fashion to change the story for the people who make the world’s clothes and accessories.
UNSTITCHED will be a positive space for everyone in the community to engage with the ideas that fashion can be made in safe, clean and beautiful ways. It’s about ‘unpicking’ the misconceptions about fashion. UNSTITCHED will give everyone the opportunity to not only learn about the issues in the fashion industry, but to get involved in activities that ‘make every stitch count’.
