This symposium will explore fast fashion and its negative social and environmental consequences – an increasingly important issue worldwide. The symposium aims to raise awareness and facilitate discussion on the issues of sweatshops, ethical consumerism, complex supply chains and alternatives.
It coincides with Fashion Revolution Week, which encourages millions of people to ask brands ‘who made my clothes?’ and demand greater transparency in the garment supply chain. This feeds into the broader movement for ANU to be Australia’s first sweat-free apparel university.
There will be presentations from four keynote speakers from varying stages of the garment supply chain, followed by a Q&A session and refreshments.
Tickets are free, but please RSVP through the Eventbrite link! Doors open at 6pm
