Dubai (21st April, TCI) : Fashion Revolution week, which takes place on the 18-24th of April, 2016, will bring together individuals and groups from 83 different countries all around the world. United by a global issue that needs to be solved, they will confront the global fashion giants to showcase dedication towards better transparency throughout the entire fashion value chain, from the labor force to the end consumer. Last year, Fashion Revolution Day was covered synchronously in over 67 different countries and gained attention from Forbes, Time, Vogue and many other fashion and news blogs globally.
Representing Fashion Revolution U.A.E. is Ayesha Siddequa, the Founder and Creative Director of Future Fashion; a social enterprise dedicated to providing a voice and a channel for ethical and sustainable fashion brands. This year, Fashion Revolution Day, UAE is being co-hosted by Future Fashion and The Change Initiative on April 21st at the TCI store on Sheikh Zayed Road.
“Very well known for bringing diverse cultures together in its Vision through EXPO2020, the United Arab Emirates has inspired its people and the world to work towards protecting the environment through an amalgamation of sustainability and innovation. Alongside Dubai’s growth regionally, nationally as well as globally, there is a huge portion that is working towards the international fashion industry” says Ayesha Siddequa.
This year the event will start off with a press conference and fun-filled and informative activities as well as ethical and sustainable fashion pop-up. Furthermore, people attending will have the chance to enjoy store discounts & win gifts. There are more gifts to be won two main competitions being held online, for fashion designers and filmmakers!

The winner gets the opportunity to have their creation customized by local celebrities. The second competition is a short-film making competition where the topic is about Fashion Revolution and the winner gets the amazing prize of having their movie broadcasted globally on the day of the event!
